SUNTERRA RE, the leading solar energy manufacturer in Bulgaria, took part in the largest energy forum in Bulgaria Energy Summit 2025.
More than 700 representatives of global equipment manufacturing, trading and energy supply companies were part of the forum, organized by the newspaper Capital weekly. Special guests were energy ministers from Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Hungary and Romania.
SUNTERRA RE CEO Emil Shopov spoke on the panel "A Carbon-Free Future: The role of batteries in the energy system," which included companies such as SUNOTEC, Sungrow, ENERY, and Photomate.
He presented SUNTERRA RE's achievements so far - the construction of four power plants with an installed capacity of 525 MW in less than three years - and outlined the new challenges - the installation of batteries, and the development of new projects in the field of trade and production of energy from alternative sources.
